Arrived on 11th August this year (2005), and the weather was beautiful. It was almost wall to wall sunshine, and by mid morning EVERY day the sun was out. We stayed inland this time(Nazaret), which may have accounted for the occasional cloud, but the heat was constant. We had a thunderstorm on the 7th day, but it came as a relief more than causing any bother and by mid morning the sun was out again. No need to bring a jacket or cardigan, they will stay in the case. As with my other reviews , be very aware of the sun as the winds can lull you into thinking it is cooler than it really is. We absolutely adore this wonderful island and are sure you will too!

We would normally go to Lanzarote to escape winter in the UK.This year we ventured there in August. So it may not reach the 90s as in the Greek Islands , it was still hot enough for plenty of hours of sunbathing and getting a good tan.So don't be put off,Lanzarote is truly an all-year round island.
