May is still a good month to visit the island as the weather is warm but not too hot. There was a little more cloud and winds than in September (when I have been before) but when the sun gets out mid-day it can get very hot.
It rained once for about 5 minutes in the week we were there and it wasn't a great downpour but a mere drizzle. The evenings could get a little cool and breezey so for the first time I bought a jacket to wear at night.
Overall the weather was fine and definitely still sunny enough to get a tan!

This is a lovely month to visit Lanzarote. Lovely weather (be wary of the winds as these make the sun feel less fierce. Slap on the sun cream!) It is so balmy in the evenings, and the sunsets are wonderful.
